Adam Page and the Buffalo Bandits wheelchair lacrosse team competed at Northside Park Recreation Center in Ocean City, Maryland over the weekend of August 9th against two other energized clubs.
The Bandits played the Maryland Thunder, hailing from Baltimore, and the Sportable Crush from Richmond, Virginia. The three teams met each other twice over the weekend of competition making for a lot of hard wheeling and spirited clashes in front of the net.
“We were losing 4 to 1 with two minutes left in the semi-final game but rallied to tie it up with 12 seconds left in regulation. We played hard in the overtime session and I scored the game winner just two minutes in – it was a great game. Everyone played really well!” Adam stated.
The Maryland Thunder out-matched the Bandits in the championship game winning convincingly.
As the games came to an end, it was apparent that all the competitors had a winning experience over the weekend of exceptional wheelchair lacrosse play.
